The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 有人拿好莱坞的票房之最也没有艺术性来说事。

有三类人特别能被带入感动：妈妈、女儿、失去至亲之人，刚好三者我都占据了，几度哽咽。身为女儿，特别能理解贾玲对“有出息”的执念，就是想让妈妈开心，让她有面儿；身为母亲，特别能理解李焕英，只要孩子健康快乐就好；面对亲人离世，无力、无助、无奈，唯有回忆。必须五星支持。
镜头像微电影的质量，几个穿越情节设计得毫无新意，甚至俗，立意容易打动观众，但没有任何艺术感。评分这么高票房这么高，说明中国观众的艺术审美落后。
值得一看，但没有你想象中那么好看，尤其是当你带着豆瓣8点多高分期待去看！都说哭的稀里哗啦，但我确实没有哭……

感谢编剧没有让李焕英以少胜多赢下排球赛。这个剧其实好就好在它的质朴情感上。没有什么输赢胜负，也没有什么人生逆袭改变命运。穿越回来只为了让你开心。不完美的小人物在闪闪发光。
