The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 比较过瘾的一部电影。一开始只为下饭，结果还是悬疑推理。没注重细节，到画展开幕才恍然大悟！细思极恐！你凝视深渊时，深渊也在凝视你！也让我想起楚门的世界！人性的欲望不可测！
当代女性视角的《后窗》，加了青春和情色的元素，反倒显得俗套和做作了。
Jennifer Salke女士和Nicole曾经就Amazon原创电影发展有一次愿景上的交流：“…我禁不住在想，那些属于情侣在周末约会夜看的- -性感的、危险的片子在哪里？”作为几乎是年轻演员挂阵的作品，本片就属于这个交流下的其中一个尝试。它也力图在《之后》创造的对于青年爱欲与性感的标签探索后做得更深，并且让Netflix每周层出不穷滤镜厚到出奇出腻的爱情电影占据主导地位的局面得到订正。尽管反转与演绎上都略微拙劣，但它依然不避讳展露性感、并且合理满足既定受众- -注定不在电影院欣赏，而是以舒服的姿势坐在家中- -对那种“罪恶快感”的追求。好期待这类题材可以继续探索下去哦。
这电影也太用力了，像一个为得到表扬把事情添油加醋讲的小孩，悉尼妹妹不是因为亢奋大红了吗，怎么这么容易就脱了。感觉选角导演把演员都选错了，让人看得不太舒服。
人物塑造方面，sunny勇敢逐梦，izzy都很活泼可爱，hitch沉稳担当，而两位公主的性格并没有详细描写。为什么会这样呢？也许90分钟的时长并不足以将每个人的性格特点完全展现，或只是孩之宝放弃了曾经的群像描写，选择把镜头对准一两个人物？我相信是前者。无论如何，还是要等正剧才能盖棺定论。
没有以前几季好看了，剧情也没那么有趣了
结局反转，情色的外衣，内里居然包裹着对人性的深入探讨，不错
快进看完，奇奇怪怪的电影。女主男朋友好hot，怎么会扔下自己男朋友去睡对面平平无奇的金发白男？？？

故事充满童话趣味！
勉强三星吧。。。啥呀都是。。。但开头和摄影都还不错，有点90年代的感觉。女主男友真是不讨喜，一副发育不良的样子，主要是说话的时候总觉得卡了一口痰，呜呜啦啦的。那个亚洲血统的妹子长的真好看！
其實影片停在攝影展的時候更恰到好處，最後的強行反殺反而顯得有些多此一舉了。

主角团有着完全随机的三观，尽管大家都不是很道德，但还是维持着表面上良好的亲子关系和迷之友谊。大概是小马宝莉版的encanto，讲述了没有魔法的人不知为何尽心尽力帮有魔法的人找回魔法，主要区别是演出和编曲差了好几个档次。这年头子供向娱乐动画电影都这么难看了T-T

小马们很可爱，很萌。剧情很正能量，但是有些简单。总体来说还不错的
